What is a Healthy Snack food?


As a diplomatic Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC), I would suggest that you snack on healthy options such as whole fruits, nuts, seeds, low-fat yogurt, or low-fat cheese. However, I understand that it may not be easy to follow this advice, especially if you are just starting your nutritional journey. As a realist, I know that snacking is something many of us love to do and is often the time we make the worst choices. 

 As a mother of four boys, I can relate to this. One thing my family loves to do on the weekends is family movie night, and the night always starts with a trip to the store for, you guessed it, SNACKS! But I have learned that you can still find healthy snack alternatives and maintain a calorie deficit by exploring other options. 

Here's a snack option that I still use today to satisfy my gummy candy cravings healthily. It's perfect for movie nights, and I usually pair it with some sliced watermelon, homemade popcorn (not the microwaved kind), and flavored sparkling water. With some research and creativity, you can still enjoy your snacks while staying healthy.

I've tried other low-calorie gummy snacks, but none taste as good as these. They are low in calories, sugar, and carbs.
