That is the beauty of nutrition and health it is a never-ending journey of discovery and small successes that lead to you being the best you that you can be living a more fulfilled life and teaching these habits to your children who will then carry it with them for years to come. Nutrition is not just an afterthought to me health is the best wealth you can have and the best gift you can offer to your children.

My Challenges
When I started my journey towards better health, I was lucky enough to not have any major health issues aside from being overweight. As I progressed, I realized that I had been ignoring some of my mental health problems for a long time. Before I began focusing on my health, I convinced myself that my anxiety and depression were just a normal part of life that I had to navigate and deal with.
I was that mother who would almost every night lay in her bed and lose sleep over thoughts of dying or possibly losing someone she loved and thought that this was normal. I recall times when I would sit in my room and become overwhelmingly sad without being able to explain why. Looking back on those years, I realize how much time I wasted not enjoying life, my husband, and my children.
When I transitioned to a plant-based lifestyle one of the most difficult challenges I faced was finding a balance between cooking for my non-plant-based family and myself without spending too much money and time in the kitchen. However, I learned some helpful tricks and tips that allowed me to cook for both me and my family, and even enjoy the same meals with them. It's possible to create delicious meals that everyone can enjoy together. I've been there and learned from my own experience, so let me show you how to make it work for you too!
Improving my health gave me a new perspective on life and equipped me with the tools to cope with stress and the unpredictability of motherhood. Fathers play a huge role in the family dynamics, but mothers are the oil that keeps the wheels from rusting. However, if the oil that we are giving to ourselves and our family is toxic it will affect how that vehicle runs.
